License
GarminTopoMaps provides extensive worldwide map data that you can download and use on any Garmin device.
Usage of the geodata is controlled by a license. There are NO copyright, license, usage, or other fees. You may use the data for personal, community, educational, commercial, government, or any other purpose.
We require two simple conditions for use:
Firstly, that you properly attribute OpenStreetMap, showing clearly where you obtained the data. Many contributors have dedicated significant time and effort to adding data from virtually every country in the world. We want people to know about our project and potentially use or contribute data themselves.
Secondly, you agree to “Share Alike.” If you publicly distribute something you have created from our data, such as a map or modified database, and you have enhanced or added to our data, then you must make those additions publicly available. While we prefer that you contribute data directly back to our database, you may choose alternative methods as long as the public can easily access your contributions. If you do not publicly distribute anything, this requirement does not apply.
Copyright and License
OpenStreetMap is open data, licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL).
